Nautilus
Pre Assessment and e-Consent
The Nautilus web-based pre-assessment platform is tightly integrated with the OpenEyes EPR enabling management of patients from initial consultation through to day of surgery. The solution supports patient self-assessment or nurse-led assessment with a wide variety of potential review pathways including nurse, anaesthetist, and clinician.
Capture consent in the digital age – paper-free, auditable, shareable, with paperlite initiatives across all aspects of clinical care, patient consent forms remain one consistent area where paper persists. As a result, these essential documents stand out from the core record with the risk of them being lost, or out-of-date forms being referenced.
OpenERS
Referral Management
A built-in messaging system is provided to allow for advice and guidance on referral. The messages can also be (optionally) integrated to the EMR messaging system, for EMR’s that support interoperability via FHIR OR hl72, allowing clinicians to collaborate on OpenERS messages without needing to leave their primary clinical EMR*.
Registration of patients, optometrists, secondary care providers and GPs is made simple by integrations with data from PDS* (Patient Demographics), GOC (Optometrist practitioners and practices) and ODS (Secondary/Tertiary care providers, CCGs, GMC registered practitioners, GP Primary care practitioners and practices).

DOTS
Ophthalmology Triage System
DOTS is an innovative triage system designed to support front line nurses and healthcare professionals with accurate and efficient triage decision-making in ophthalmology services. It combines advanced algorithms and clinical expertise to provide timely recommendations for urgent and non-urgent cases.
Machine learning algorithms were developed and tested in collaboration with Moorfield’s Eye Hospital NHS Trust with over 15,000 cases seen at Moorfield’s Eye Casualty. The project was part of the NIHR Artificial Intelligence in Health and Care awards program with input from ophthalmologists, nurses, optometrists, software engineers, data scientists and health economists.
OEMeet
OpenEyes Feature
OpenEyes Meet provides clinicians with the ability to undertake patient examinations via remote locations. Developed to manage patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic, OpenEyes Meet allows clinicians to examine patients and share patient data (amongst authorised clinicians) via OpenEyes without physically having to see the patient.
